Companies around the world are working round the clock to expand their services. It is worth noting that, blockchain sports firm Chiliz is planning a $50 million expansion into the U.S. The blockchain sports firm decided to open an office in New York. Moreover, it will start working with local leagues as well as sports franchises.

It is no secret that New York is the headquarters for the sports industry in the U.S. People should keep in mind that, the new office will be critical for Chiliz’s global expansion. Interestingly, the company is preparing to launch fan tokens with franchises from the five major U.S. sports leagues.

As a reminder, the major blockchain sports firm generated millions of dollars of revenue for some of Europe’s biggest sports organizations. Last year, the company shared more than $30 million with its partners. This is not the end of the story as in 2021 Chiliz plans to increase this number to $60 million.

Interestingly, the company has years of experience in providing fan tokens to popular football clubs like FC Barcelona, Juventus, as well as Paris Saint-Germain. Moreover, thanks to blockchain-based tokens sport organizations and clubs are able to unlock new fan engagement experiences like fan voting and direct communication with players. For example, AC Milan launched its own fan token. Fans have to opportunity to purchase the token which gives access to club polls, VIP rewards, super-fan recognition, games as well as chat forums.

Another world-famous club Barcelona used the tokens to vote on the placement of a fan-designed artwork in the team’s dressing room. Moreover, Juventus fans had a chance to choose the club’s new celebration song.
