eToro To Remain The Official Partner Of Southampton FC

eToro, a global trading and investment platform, has announced the renewal of its sponsorship agreement with Southampton FC.

The broker will continue to enjoy full pitch-side advertising boards and digital rights at St Mary’s Stadium along with player access including interviews, features, and access to players for social media.

But, taking it back a little bit, eToro isn’t one of the new kids in the football arena.

The popular social investment network has been present in football for a while now, with sponsorship deals across the world including Spanish clubs Atlético de Madrid and Real Betis, French club AS Saint-Étienne, and Italian clubs Inter Milan and AC Milan.

When it’s time for marketers and business owners alike to decide how they want a new product or service promoted through promotional campaigns, many tend to lean toward the idea of sponsoring an event that will be widely watched by consumers.

Sports is always high on this list as sponsorships can help businesses grow awareness. They do so in several key areas such as branding opportunities, and social media reach/engagement rates with fans on Facebook (and Twitter).

Television exposure is also a viable method. Most companies use ad-spots during games broadcasted live across networks like ESPN and TNT; just to name a few benefits from participating in well-known events around professional teams playing worldwide.

The eToro- Southampton Partnership Deal

Southampton FC and eToro renewing their partnership contract will see the broker retain its status as ‘Official Partner’ for the 2021 and 2022 game seasons.

This is their fourth year together, as they reached an agreement in 2018 to be a part of each other’s company culture.

As Southampton’s Official Partner, eToro will benefit from being featured on all digital channels such as LED boards around pitches at St Mary’s Stadium and broadcasted branding during matches throughout home games this upcoming football season.

Speaking on their renewed partnership with eToro, David Thomas, the Chief Commercial Officer of Southampton FC, expressed the club’s willingness to continue working with eToro, and their commitment to technology and innovation.

eToro hasn’t been joking around with its brand recognition. And, in case I didn’t mention it, eToro, for the longest time, has been the ‘King’ of bulk deals. From their recent moves, it is clear that’s what they believe in.

That’s why the giant broker has been up and down partnering with multiple teams; all aiming to push awareness, impact the lives of traders and positively impact the numbers.

Well, the strategy is working. And, it is not surprising that the broker’s revenue and income have jumped massively ahead of its public listing on an American stock exchange. Recently, it disclosed financials for Q2 2021 which showed a sharp rise in those numbers.

In eToro’s official statement, Dylan Holman, eToro’s Global Sponsorship Manager, speaks of the broker’s excitement in extending their partnership with Southampton FC. He mentions that, if anything, this is a clear indicator of their commitment to the club.

“We look forward to creating new fan activations which bring them closer to the action, along with continuing to help educate people on investing.” He adds.
