At the end of my article Avoid This Vacation From Hell – Part 1, I said that there is even worse news to come concerning timeshares. In this Part 2, we will discuss the devious practices of timeshare salesmen.

 

Understanding the role of the timeshare salesmen is key to knowing why you need to avoid buying a timeshare. There will always be salesmen (or saleswomen) involved when someone buys a timeshare. Why is this? Because a timeshare is simply not a product which people are normally looking to buy. Most people don’t even know that they exist. Many of us may well be looking to rent a hotel room for a day, or maybe for a week, but who would normally ever be thinking of taking out a huge loan to buy ownership of a week in a resort for years to come? 

 

But all timeshare resorts employ salesmen, and their job is to sell timeshares to increase the revenue of the resorts. And they are usually paid by commission on the sales they make. That is their motivation. If they don’t sell, they don’t earn. Anyone dealing with timeshare salesmen needs to know this,
