Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro – is it worth it?

The Xiaomi phone catalogue at the moment is a puzzle of a thousand pieces. There is a model for different types of consumers. Besides, the price range is wide, varying from a few hundred to eight hundred dollars. Also, it has so many features, acronyms, names, that it is confusing.

Mi10 T Pro is the recent Xiaomi device, compatible with 5G networks. Is it worth the money?

The first thing that catches your eye is its design that exudes premium touches, with edges made of metal. Distinctive element on its back is a triple camera in the style of the Galaxy S20 Ultra. The main lens reaches 108 megapixels. It is accompanied by a 13 MP wide-angle camera that does not deform excessively and a 5-megapixel macro lens intended for close-range shooting. The latter has a focusing function and is very promising compared to previous versions.

All in all, it’s versatile; however, it requires good lighting to get its full potential. As for the video, it can record up to 8K at 30 frames per second, which is not bad at all. Click slightly on the front camera, 20 megapixels, which is more common.

The device excels in performance

Where it does show enormous potential is in its technical deployment, supported by a combination of speed and performance. It is supported by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 865 chip, the most powerful on the market in the high-end range. The phone’s performance is fantastic. It performs common tasks well (surfing the internet, consulting social networks), and it takes a lot of mobile games.

Another determining aspect that works in its favour is stereo sound and great audio power.

The software is based on Android 10, which is the most up-to-date version, but the customization layer, Xiaomi calls it MIUI, is still somewhat confusing and invasive. It is dense and tedious. It does, however, include an interesting function, called floating windows, which can be used to manage, resize and move applications.

The device is somewhat heavy but conveys a feeling of being resistant. It is balanced by a massive 5,000 mAh battery which is another of its best contributions. It can last two days without charging. Besides, the phone has a powerful charger that leaves the mobile almost completely ready in half an hour.

The fingerprint scanner sits on the start button and is surprisingly fast. Last but not least, it is crowned with its compatibility with 5G networks.
