Telegram on its Long-Awaited TON

Telegram, an encrypted messaging service, will finally launch its Telegram Open Network (TON) in late October. The official TON board on Telegram released a message on Wednesday. It said that they informed the original investors regarding the blockchain network’s launching later this month.

In addition to that, they gave the investors a TON key generation software. And they need to provide Telegram with a public key to accept their Gram (GRM) tokens. The said token is the platform’s native token. Also, the complete source code for TON is now available on Github. The message means the launch comes after a successful testing stage.

Telegram revealed in early September the TON testnet explorer and node software. After that, the alpha version of a Gram token wallet for iOS.

XRP Supported by BitPay

Meanwhile, BitPay, a major cryptocurrency processor BitPay can now support payments with XRP. And this was due to its partnership with Ripple’s investment arm Xpring.

Aside from that, they announced the development in a press release on October 2. Then, the firm disclosed that businesses can now accept the third-largest digital currency XRP for payments via BitPay’s cross-border payments platform. Also, part of the cooperation, BitPay will integrate its BitPay Wallet with Xpring’s developer platform.

Then, Xpring, in another announcement, stated that global firms can now obtain XRP through BitPAy without the need for integration and enhancements.

Moreover, web monetization platform Coil earlier today started to support XRP payments in real-time. And this was because of its partnership with payment gateway and XRP Ledger wallet provider GateHub. The platform grant users to receive funds in XRP and convert them in euros, United States dollars, Bitcoin (BTC), and Ether (ETH).

Xpring, in August, revealed a 1 billion XRP, about $265 million, grant to Coil to make an ecosystem of creators, developers, companies, and nonprofits that use XRP through the web Monetization open standard.
