Telegram Officially Introduced TON

In late October, Telegram Messenger will start its long-awaited Telegram Open Network (TON). In the message of the official TON Board on Telegram, the company stated that investors knew about the launching of the blockchain network later this month.

Furthermore, the network will supposedly be suitable for the Ethereum network. This will give users to port their Ethereum smart contracts over to TON. The token offerings investors of Telegram are the ones who manage the Software startup TON Labs. And reportedly, they are developing a Solidity compiler for its blockchain. Solidity is a programming language primarily used to create smart contracts on Ethereum.

Aside from that, Telegram declared last week a coding competition for building smart contracts on TON. Contestants will compete for a prize fund worth in the range of $200,000 and $400,000. And they will use the tools provided in the TON Blockchain distribution.

BitPay To Support Payments with XRP

Elsewhere, BitPay will now support payments through XRP. And it was because it has entered a partnership with the Xpring, the investment arm of Ripple.

They revealed the recent development in a press release. In addition to that, businesses may accept XRP, the third-largest digital currency, as payments through the cross-border payments platform of BitPay. In addition to that, BitPay is integrating its BitPay Wallet with Xpring’s developer platform.

Then in a separate report, Xpring said that global companies are now able to accept XRP via BitPay. And they don’t need any integration and enhancements.

Moreover, BitPay underwent security and confidentiality compliance review, the Service Organization Control 2 (SOC 2) on September 30. And passing this means the company has met criteria set by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. The firm passed all confidentiality, security, privacy, processing, integrity, and availability.

Currently, XRP is the third-largest coin when it comes to market capitalization.
