Price of Bitcoin by the End of the Year 

The world’s largest cryptocurrency in terms of market capitalization has been the topic of numerous conversations in 2021. Bitcoin had strong first several months of 2021, nevertheless, its price topped in April. Importantly, it suffered a subsequent dramatic downturn, followed by ranging price action. However, over the last several weeks Bitcoin once more demonstrated its strength.

A popular YouTuber and trader see similarities between Bitcoin’s price activity in 2021 and 2013. Tony Vays expects its price to trade around the $100,000 level by the end of the year. 

During the first six months of the year, the major cryptocurrency enjoyed a significant rally, landing the asset just shy of $65,000 at approximately $64,835 in April 2021. Bitcoin subsequently declined dramatically in price in May, finding itself all the way down near the $30,000 range. 

 

Bitcoin in 2013 and 2021 

The price of number one cryptocurrency then proceeded to bounce around for a certain period of time, trading sideways between $30,000 and $40,000 for the most part. In June, its price fell less than $29,000. 

It posted similar price chart behavior many years ago, more precisely 2013. The largest cryptocurrency posted a then-all-time price high of about $268 per coin in April 2013. Its price dropped to near $50 in the same month. But, Bitcoin then proceeded to trade within a range for the months following, posting a slightly higher low around $65. It reached new highs of nearly $1,200 in several months of the same year.

Most well-known cryptocurrency turned its price ship around since that higher low price in July. 2021. September was a difficult month. Bitcoin fell to around $42,800, recovered back up to almost $49,000. But its price then fell back down to around $39,600. At the time of writing, its price is $41,333.
