Mystery Surrounds Acquisition of Tixee by Trinota Markets

Trinota Markets (Global) Limited, the firm behind M4Markets, has acquired operations of Tixee, a forex and CFDs broker serving clients in the EU and around the world. In light of this development, Tixee has decided to shut down its trading platform and has offered its existing clients the option to move their accounts to M4Markets to ensure continuity of service and trading conditions. Tixee’s customer support email stated that the acquisition was a “mutually beneficial commercial arrangement” with M4Markets, which is widely regarded as one of the most promising CFD brokers in the market.

Tixee, which is registered in Seychelles, claims to have over 155,000 registered clients from more than 115 countries. However, it remains unclear whether M4Markets acquired only Tixee’s client book or if it extended to other assets. The deal is shrouded in mystery, and neither Tixee nor M4Markets have disclosed any further details.

Both Tixee and M4Markets operate under licenses from the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC) and are active within the European Union. The acquisition deal is also believed to have some implications for Tixee’s operations in Cyprus, but it is not yet known what these implications are.

CFD brokers have faced increasing scrutiny from regulators around the world in recent years due to the high risks associated with leveraged trading. As such, the acquisition of Tixee’s operations by Trinota Markets (Global) Limited has raised questions about the future of the CFD industry and whether it will face further consolidation in the coming years.

The Office Mix-Up

Tixee has ceased accepting new accounts on its Seychelles and Cyprus-regulated platforms, and several employees, including former Chief Operating Officer Todor Georgiev, have left the company to join other FX/CFDs brokers.

Additionally, at least two former Tixee Business Development team members, Huan Van Tran, and Donya F have joined M4Markets. Tran now manages M4Markets’ Vietnamese-speaking clients, which is a profitable group of traders, while Donya has taken on the role of Senior Business Development Manager.
