Multiple Companies Adopted Dogecoin 

Dogecoin is a popular cryptocurrency, more and more companies are willing to embrace it. This week, multiple companies have made Dogecoin adoption plays, and one of them is Robinhood. The company confirmed that it was going to roll out a new crypto wallet feature in its app next month supporting DOGE deposits and withdrawals. 

On Wednesday, Adam Aron conducted a poll of 140,000 people via Twitter. AMC Entertainment’s CEO asked the community whether DOGE should be added to the company’s plans to support crypto payments for tickets by the end of the year. More than 60% voted for “Yes, for sure do it”. Adam Aron stated that “it’s clear that you think AMC should accept Dogecoin”. He also notes that “Now we need to figure out how to do that. Stay tuned”. 

AMC Entertainment supports the crypto industry. It will not only accept Bitcoin payments for movie tickets in 2022 but will also include other cryptocurrencies in its crypto acceptance policy. 

Last week, Aron announced plans for AMC to accept three other cryptocurrencies – Ether, Litecoin, and Bitcoin Cash. AMC Entertainment’s crypto plan comes amid a rejuvenation in revenue figures after a tough year.

Last year, its revenue declined amid the coronavirus lockdowns that characterized most of 2022. In the second quarter of 2021, the company reportedly earned $444 million in revenue.  

Dogecoin and RedSwan 

Commercial real estate tokenization platform RedSwan also made an important announcement on Wednesday. It made the decision to accept Dogecoin for two digital real estate deals on its marketplace. It is offering fractionalized ownership in two high-rise apartment buildings worth a combined $383 million. 

Real estate deals are taking minimum investments of $1,000. At the time of writing $1,000 is roughly 4,447 DOGE. They are offering annualized targeted investor internal rate of returns of 26% and 19%, respectively.
