iPad Pro 2021 will be as powerful as Mac with an M1 processor

Apple is planning to launch several devices this year. One of the most noteworthy among them is the iPad Pro 2021. According to the reports, the company will release the device this month. Some details have already gone viral about the new iPad, including its performance capabilities.

The Apple A14 chipset will allegedly power the upcoming Apple iPad Pro 2021. That chipset also powers Apple’s new iPhone 12 series. The company used the 5nm process to make the chipset, which is a significant improvement over the A12Z Bionic. The latter is powering the current iPad Pro.

According to Mark Gurman, the new iPad Pro will exceed the consumers’ expectations in terms of performance thanks to the A14 chipset. He even claimed that this device and the M1-powered Apple Mac devices would be equally powerful.

Furthermore, the upcoming iPad Pro will mainly look similar to the current models. However, the device may be a bit thicker if Apple decides to offer a Mini-LED display. Such display has improved brightness, along with better contrast ratios.

Gurman seems positive that while the 2021 iPad Pro will look similar to the current iteration, it will feature a mini-LED display. He also noted that if the new technology guarantees better brightness and contrast ratios, then the thicker design is worth it.

Will the new tablet support 5G connectivity?

The answer is Yes! Current reports imply that the iPad Pro 2021 will have the support for 5G connectivity with both Sub-6GHz and mmWave networks. Furthermore, the customers also expect better camera performance.

Even though the rumors say that the new Apple iPad Pro 2021 will go official this month, thus far, the tech giant hasn’t confirmed or indicated the date of release.

Apple introduced the M1 processor in November last year. It counts 16 billion transistors, along with eight graphics cores and an 8-core CPU. Furthermore, it uses the same architecture as the iPad and iPhone.

As a result, users can run their iPhone and iPad apps on M1 computers. However, that is possible only in those devices, which developers have allowed access. While it seems intriguing, the experience is not all that great. Besides, there are also compatibility issues. According to online reviews, the problems are mainly caused because Macs don’t have a touchscreen.

Another piece of information that the Apple fans gleaned is that this year’s iPhones will have the same design as the current (last year’s) models. However, the company may add an in-display fingerprint reader.
