ICM.com Sponsors Newcastle United

ICM.com has signed a sponsorship deal with English football club, Newcastle United. The FX and CFDs trading platform will become the club’s sponsor for the 2020-21 season.

Shoaib Abedi, founder and director of ICM.com, said they are really excited to partner with Newcastle United. It is a world-renowned English Premier League football club, he said.

The announcement of the deal last week showed that the football team will put the brokerage’s logo on their jersey sleeves.

ICM.com will benefit from several additional commercial benefits which include high profile advertising and hospitality.

Moreover, this will give the brokerage significant exposure among the club fans. This is as Newcastle is playing in the English Premier League, the top football league in England.

Abedi said they are looking forward to seeing ICM.com on the players’ sleeves in the Premier League. They will be watching on and celebrating the team’s successes with their clients and fans, he added.

ICM.com is a multinational forex and CFD trading company with headquarters in London. It also has offices in Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.

The company rebranded itself in August 2018 from ICM Capital to ICM.com. This was in order to represent all of the firm’s group entities under one brand.

The brokerage obtained licenses from the regulators of seven jurisdictions. This was to run its global operations without any hurdles.

Dale Aitchison, head of commercial at Newcastle United, said he is delighted to welcome ICM.com to their growing roster. That is their roster of leading, forward-thinking partner brands.

They look forward to building on that success together with campaigns, competitions, and content that deliver value to their supporters.

Growing number of Brokers Sponsoring Sports

For brokerages sports sponsorship has lately become one of their lucrative marketing channels. Skilling is becoming a sponsor of Aston Villa, another English football club, reported just today.

Other brokerages like easyMarkets and Libertex followed and are now sponsoring Real Madrid and Tottenham Hotspur, respectively.

Furthermore, eToro saw benefits in bulk deals. It is now sponsoring a total of 12 football clubs in the United Kingdom and Germany.
