Hyundai Motor Group Teams Up with Sony for ‘Spider Man 3’

Earlier today, the Hyundai Motor Group announced that it has snatched a deal with Sony Pictures Entertainment. The unexpected deal will allow customers to experience the automaker’s future plans for mobility and new technology.

The agreement will allow the South Korean multinational automotive manufacturer to star in Sony’s movies, digital contents, and animations.

According to the company, it’s newest mobility tech will be available in Sony’s “Uncharted” and the much-awaited “Spider Man 3”. They will release said movies by July 2021 and by November 2021.

The coveted deal was inked at a ceremony held at Sony Pictures Studio in Los Angeles, California. Hyundai Motor Group Customer Experience Vice President Cho Won-hong and Sony’s Global Partnership Vice President Jeffrey Godsick attended the ceremony.

Earlier this year, technology news sites reported the mobility solution visions of the South Korean car maker. They unveiled it during the company’s Consumer Electronics Show back in January.

Some of the company’s solutions include urban air mobility, mobility transferring hub, and purpose-built vehicles.

According to an official, Hyundai is looking to help consumers understand their vision of human-focused mobility through entertainment.

The agreement will give leverage to Sony Pictures IP for marketing content and immersive entertainment. In exchange, the auto maker will also offer its marketing support for the entertainment company.

Tech experts say that the automaker snatched a great deal as “Spider Man 3” Marvel fans widely anticipated it.

The movie will, of course, be a follow up to the all-star line up of Marvel movies and will likely have attendance from fans all over the world.

 Another Partnership

The South Korean automaker has been relatively busy making deals and partnerships with various companies.

Just recently, reports have also indicated that Hyundai and Tastemade will develop the “The Un-Adventurers”, a four-part original series.

Of course, the pandemic will not stop modern technology and the companies that are pioneering in it. The said series is scheduled to debut in Tastemade’s streaming network by June 3.

The original picture will feature a celebrity that will leave their home states to go on a journey with Hyundai.

The South Korean company found that one in ten US citizens haven’t left their home or birth states. And the company sees the opportunity to showcase the travel capabilities of their vehicles.

The series will feature the company’s famous models such as the Tucson, Santa Fe, Kona, and its flagship Palisade.

According to the company’s chief marketing officer, the series will be emotional and will reach people through the stars’ personal experiences.
