Europe and the energy crisis

The war in Ukraine seems to be going in Ukraine’s favor, with parts of the occupied territory taken back. This is partly due to the shipments of weapons and intelligence-sharing it receives from western allies, NATO, and the EU. But as allies continue their support, Europe’s reliance on Russian gas supplies becomes more perilous as Russia reduces gas supplies to the region. The challenge for EU politicians is to keep the support for Ukraine while finding other sources of gas supplies at an affordable cost. Failure to achieve these challenges could not only damage Europe’s economy, but also drain public support for the war effort.
