Digital currencies on Thursday

Bitfury’s blockchain analytics platform Crystal published a report about the digital currencies on September 12. The Report on International Bitcoin flaws 2013-2019.

Analytics platform Crystal analyzed the tendencies regarding cryptocurrency operations and Bitcoin transactions. This report made it easier to understand the trends of digital currencies.

According to Crystal, the biggest number of exchanges are located in the European Union. Nevertheless, we should take into consideration that the EU is not a country. The U.K. the number one country when it comes to the total number of exchanges. There are 43 cryptocurrency exchanges in the U.K. while in EU this number is 49.

It was impossible to identify the country of registration of almost 10% of all exchanges.

The U.S., as well as Hong Kong, Singapore, and other countries, also have a significant number of digital currency exchanges.

Based on this report, the percentage of Bitcoin transfers changed significantly in the last six years. For instance, in 2013, 96% of Bitcoin transfers between the exchanges were sent from the digital exchanges located in the G-20 countries and others. Nevertheless, in 2018 this number fell to 70%. This might signal that crypto regulations more precisely the debates about this topic affected the stock markets.

Digital currencies on Thursday

Bitcoin was in a difficult situation on Thursday despite the fact that price remained above $10,000. The price of Bitcoin traded below the resistance level, which is $10,250. At some point, the price even fell to $9,983 which is the lowest level since the beginning of the week.

On September 12, Bitcoin’s price was $10,037. There is a risk that Bitcoin can face additional pressure, and as there is a possibility that price might drop below $10,000.

The second-largest digital currency was in a similar situation. Ethereum’s price fell below $180 against the U.S. dollar. On Thursday, Ethereum’s price was $178. There is a chance that Ethereum’s price can fall below $175.
