ATFX Connect – new institutional trading desk

Earlier this month, the London-based broker ATFX announced that it would be launching an institutional trading desk – ATFX Connect. However, it is not the first retail-trading firm to have pivoted towards providing services to institutions.

Unlike other brokers, ATFX is not going to be focusing solely on attracting wealthier individuals or people that qualify as professional clients.

The broker is a well-established brand with a global presence in multiple locations. The firm has been quite successful in creating, developing, and maintaining an exceptional retail product offering.

The ATFX brand has a large team of professionals, with a piece of vast knowledge and experience.  The broker has always wanted to move the company to another level. They started developing a new offering for their institutional clients. ATFX provides deep pools of liquidity and trading solutions to HNW (High Net-Wirth Individual) clients. The broker considers the clients’ vast difference in demand and requirements; thus it created a variety of options to meet them.

ATFX introduces Real Share Trading.

Many other broker companies have already started working with institutional clients. However, ATFX highlights the fact that there is a difference between elective professional clients and professional clients. The Broker distinguishes all the institutional desks it will be servicing. Elective professional clients have more exposure to the markets following the leverage restrictions. However, they are not a new demographic for ATFX.

ATFX Connect targets sophisticated professional clients, both individual and corporate. The platform provides clients with access to tier 1 bank and non-bank liquidity. The platform will introduce share trading, as well as expended product range based on current platforms. The broker plans to introduce its institutional business arm in Asia. Besides, ATFX will continue to invest in the EU.

Globally, the industry heads towards a more regulated environment. ATFX bets on the profitability of the risk management and hops that the ATFX Connect will be a beneficial factor for the new institutional brand.

The trading platform will include the introduction of share trading. It will also expand the product range based on current platforms, and adjust the product specification to meet the trends in the market.
