Ahold Delhaize Gets Arla Foods’ CFO

Previously, one of the world’s largest dairy firms, Arla Foods, said on Tuesday that Chief Financial Officer Natalie Knight would leave the company.

She will only be serving until the end of February. This is because she is transferring to Belgian food retailer Ahold Delhaize.

Arla is now in search of a replacement for Knight. The firm is owned by 10,300 farmers in Denmark, Sweden, Germany, and the United Kingdom.

Recently, Ahold Delhaize has proclaimed the appointment of Natalie Knight as its new chief financial officer. This will be effective on March 1, 2020.

The appointment comes a day from the declaration that existing Ahold Delhaize chief financial officer Jeff Carr is to shoulder a role with consumer goods firm Reckitt Benckiser. The selection will happen in April of next year.

In September, Carr has announced his plans to leave the retailer.

Meanwhile, in a statement, Ahold Delhaize indicated that, “Knight oversaw Arla’s finance, legal and IT functions were ‘instrumental in the company’s transformation and efficiency program.”

Designation of The Finance Leader

The retailer then designated the US native as a finance leader. He will be the one who puts a specific focus on commercial and cross-functional performance management.

Moreover, it has supported Arla to make substantial developments in the area of sustainability finance.

Knight has worked with sportswear giant Adidas for 17 years. This was before joining Arla.

In addition, it has been leading to the acquisition of Reebok. The responsibility of operational transformation efforts is also within the business, particularly in the wake of the last financial smash.

Ahold Delhaize president and CEO, Frans Muller, commented on the matter, stating, “I’m thrilled to have Natalie join Ahold Delhaize.”

He also added, “She has worked in both the US and Europe, across a variety of industries, including branded consumer goods and food products.”

Lastly, “With her demonstrated leadership in cost reduction and business transformation efforts, she is the right leader to help accelerate Ahold Delhaize’s Leading Together strategy. I look forward to working with her,” he said.
