Aftermath Islands introduced its hot token DUBS

Aftermath Islands is a relatively new blockchain platform that offers interesting gameplay. Its team created an exciting world that will entice various types of players. The company also launched the platform’s native utility token to give users additional benefits. The token holders will be able to get access to exclusive in-game assets. They can also gain by exchanging or staking their tokens.

According to the plot, there is a Virtual Land that encompasses self-contained islands. There are several kinds of them, including Community Islands, Themed Islands, Estate Islands, Private, Project & Branded Islands, and Kingdoms.

Players on Community Islands will be able to participate in everyday life. They will go to workplaces, and schools, enjoy shopping and various group activities. Themed Islands offer immersive quests and events. Users will have the opportunity to join the guilds. However, the team also designed solo gameplay around individual themes such as medieval fighting, dragon lore, and alien warfare.

Furthermore, the company designed Private, Project & Branded Islands for various events, commercials, programmatic support, projects, and brands. Players will also have a chance to join sports leagues, sovereign territories, and other organizations.

Estate Islands have their own attraction. Gamers will be able to own a large part of a small, gated island. But these lands are limited to only a few dozen players. Lastly, linked groups of islands called Kingdoms will provide larger virtual land masses. Those are meant for large playable areas dedicated to brands, organizations, and events.

What about the DUBS token?

Aftermath Islands launched its native token on September 30, 2022. DUBS is a POLYGON coin. Its price was 0.06 USD during the initial coin offering. The team aimed to raise $150,000 with the sale. The total supply of tokens is 3,500,000,000, but only 20% was available for purchase at this stage.

DUBS is quite high-ranked on various ICO listing platforms, and as a native token, it has various useful utilities. The team initially called it CREDITS, but it later changed the token’s ticker. DUBS is the company’s native cryptographically secure fungible protocol coin. As the Aftermath Islands’ in-game currency, players can use it to pay for various assets/services within the Metaverse. They can also exchange the tokens with other users on Aftermath Islands’ marketplace. DUBS is a short form for Doubloons. Users can utilize it to trade and obtain a variety of game items.

Aftermath Islands decided to create this token to offer its players a convenient and secure mode of payment. Game participants will interact within the ecosystem without any intermediaries. They won’t need any centralized third-party entity or institution to act as a medium. However, refusing the latter means that they will need to make any exchanges with cryptos.

According to the company, holding DUBS won’t entitle players to any promise of fees, revenue, profits, dividends, or investment returns. They will only be able to utilize this token on the Aftermath Islands platform. Users can move only a limited number of DUBS per transaction within a specific time outside the game’s ecosystem.

Further, the company provides economic incentives to encourage players to participate and contribute more to the platform. It aims to create a mutually beneficial system. Aftermath Islands’ users will get rewards for their activities.

According to the team, DUBS is an integral part of this ecosystem. It gives customers an incentive to expend resources and participate in activities. The company plans to give additional rewards in DUBS to a player based on their presence on the platform and the frequency and volume of transactions. However, DUBS token holders who did not actively participate in the game will not receive any token incentives.

Aftermath Islands also offers great in-game items. There is a wide range of assets, including common, rare, epic, and legendary items. Players will also be able to craft them in the future. They will choose various professions and create items according to their skills. Crafters will be able to upgrade existing items, as well. As those assets are non-fungible tokens, players can buy, sell, hold, or trade items they own on Aftermath Islands.

The platform has already conducted several test sales to ensure that users won’t have any problems while making transactions. So, players can purchase Virtual Land, along with houses and other dwellings that can be added to their plots. In addition, they can select professions and participate in the crafting of future dwellings.

Aftermath Islands also plans to use the GPU cloud servers. The latter is developed specifically to train neural network AI models. The team wants to configure it so that servers can handle the intensive processing of light and shadows, as well as hi-polygon count graphics. Consequently, any gamer will be able to experience graphics currently available only on high-dollar gaming PCs or consoles despite the device they use. All they need is a strong internet connection. This technology can potentially allow the average player to experience a game of much higher quality.

What about the game’s development and other activities?

The company has partnered with some leading icons of comic books. Among its partners are the writers published by DC, Marvel, and independent publishing groups. Those people will help Aftermath Islands to create stunning visuals, engaging storylines, and interesting content for the game.

The team noted that each themed island would offer a wide array of quests and gameplay options. Both novice and experienced players will find their niche on this platform. Players will be able to level up and earn rewards by participating in these activities.

In addition, Aftermath Islands aims to promote community involvement in the game’s development, including the deployment of new activities and quests. Thus, it created a public discussion board where participants could post and comment on the game. They can also share ideas for quests and activities.

Players can also contribute via proposals. Other team members will vote on them to decide which is worth trying. The team will develop winner proposals or grant them to third-party developers. Overall, this project has strong potential to gain success in the market.
